Hello, my name is Tania. From a young age I was intrigued by all things spiritual – the unseen was a source of fascination. As a young child some experiences were a little scary, but as I grew I found it more and more exciting – it wasn’t something that I spoke about but something that I was acutely aware of. I was introduced to Reiki by my father’s sister, Aunty Earlene. She took me me to my first Reiki session which filled me with wonder and grace, so much so that soon after I was initiated into Reiki Seichem. To give myself practical insights, I started my first Tarot course and the learning hasn’t stopped. Then came Polarity Therapy which was another way to connect to a higher vibration. I attended as many Tarot and development courses as I could and have been a Professional Member of the Tarot Guild of Australia (TGA) since 2006, and past Editor of the TGA’s ‘Magician’ magazine. I am a certified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner, just to add to the mix of learning and sharing.
It’s been a wonderful journey and I have been blessed to meet fantastic friends along the way. As a child I experienced insights into spirit that at the time I thought were daunting, but now I’m blessed to have a deeper insight and knowledge that allows me to work with spirit rather than fear it. Every day is a blessing and full of wonder and the reflection I see in the world is a constant reminder that we create our world from the inside out.
Shirley MacLaine is my heroine and mentor and I devoured all of her books and movies, especially “Out on a Limb”. I loved her “out there” approach to her spiritual journey. In my early 20’s I moved to London. My Aunty had given me the book “Out on a Limb” to read on the flight and I ended up leaving it behind. I moved in with some friends in South East London, who introduced me to a “reading” church (for want of a better word). The reader pointed me out in the crowd and said that I was reading an important book for my journey, and I had lost it – she told me to go and get another copy and continue my journey, which I did and continue to do. It was this book/movie that inspired my trek to Macchu Picchu.
Shirley’s book “The Camino” also inspired my pilgrimage to Spain in 2008 when I walked Santiago de Compostella, and further to Finisterre – a journey that will live in my heart forever and as a result am following my bliss. The Camino helped me to answer a lot of questions and explore deep within and inspired my move back to Victoria. Prior to this was the trek in South America to the Lost City of the Incas – Ahh the magic of travel!
I have moved around a little bit and my Tarot cards have been my constant companion. I lived on King Island for four and a half years, then from 2009 – 2016 I lived in Daylesford and in September, 2016 moved back to Port Melbourne. Working from home allows me to be a foster carer for Project Underdog Rescue which I hope to continue to support.
To me Tarot is not only about the cards, it’s about invoking conversation and creating connection, which in turn opens up endless possibilities to manifest the life that you deserve.
